Who are we?

We’re Jess and Char, and like many of you, we were frustrated by the lack of a simple, seamless way to shop for recommended beauty products online.

We kept finding ourselves stuck in a cycle like this:

Scenario 1:

Jess: “Hey Char, what skincare are you using lately? I want to try something new.”

Char: “Let me tell you all about the products I’m using…” [Char lists them all excitedly.]

But… Jess forgets all the products she was recommended and never ends up buying them.

Scenario 2:

Char’s scrolling through social media, watching her favourite beauty creators rave about their must-have products. She searches 8 different products on her phone, wanting to buy, but due to the long process and getting distracted… she never follows through and loses the products.

Sound familiar?

This is when we realised: There’s no easy way to save, explore, and purchase beauty products from recommendations in one place. And that got us thinking… Why doesn’t something like this exist?

• Why isn’t there a way to instantly save a product someone recommends in one place, so you don’t forget it later?

• Why can’t we easily share our routines and the products we love with friends?

• Why can’t I see what’s in my besties make up routine?

• Why can’t I buy products recommended by creators with just a few clicks?

• Why isn’t there a platform where we can find honest reviews from people we trust and relate to?

And most importantly: Why isn’t there a place for all things beauty?

So we decided to stop waiting for someone else to create the platform we were craving and do it ourselves.
